TMS320F280039C: MCAN configuration, the function of enable normal CAN

Part Number: TMS320F280039C
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

Hi team,

Use CCS (12.4.0) SYSCONFIG (1.17.0) to configure the 280039C MCAN peripheral, and after checking Configure Enable Normal Can, it is found that the actual code generation MCAN_CCCR. ASM setting to 1, enter Restriced Mode instead of Normal Can.

So I want to check after Enable Normal Can is checked, is it means to turn on the mode or cancel the mode?

the left is do not check normal mode, the right is check normal mode.

Could you help on this? Thanks!

  • Kailun,

You are correct thanks for pointing it out.

UNchecking the "Enable Normal CAN Operation" resets the MCAN_CCCR.ASM bit which implies Normal CAN Operation.

I have filed a bug for the same and it will be fixed in the upcoming release.

    Thanks.
