I would like to know which programmer is suitable for a TMS320F206 Chip. I found the XDS510 but it is a legacy system. There is also a USB version of the XDS510. Would this programmer be suitable for my chip.
thanks

Sorry, in subject you have mentioned "TMS320F2800132" device but later you have mentioned "TMS320F206" device. Can you please clarify this.
In general XDS510 is not recommended. We have XDS110 or XDS200 debug probe which can be used.

Sorry, this seems like very old part and not sure if we had CCS that time. I need to check with someone in our emulation team on this.

Hello Vincent,
The part I am interested in is the TMS320F206
Can you please re-check this part number? I can't find anything related to it.
I also have a TMS320C50.
Yes C5000 DSPs are supported by XDS200.

Hello,
It is in fact the F206. I have the datasheet in hand. Do you want it?
Thanks
Hi Vincent,
I've sent you friend request - once you accept it, you can send me a private message to provide the datasheet.

Hello Vincent,
Thanks for sending the datasheet, I was able to at least find the records of the device in question now. Unfortunately this is a DSP from 1996 and we don't really have any means to offer support for it in 2023. I highly doubt the XDS200 would work with a device that old, but I have no way to test or confirm that.
The only document I can find regarding emulator support indicates only XDS510 will support that DSP.
