TMS320F2812: External Oscillator Jitter Question

Part Number: TMS320F2812

Hello,

My customer is currently using the Ecliptek EH3600ETTS-30.000M, but that part went EoL, so they are looking at changing to the 30MHz Ecliptek EC3600ETTS-30.000M oscillator. They wanted to double check with us since the parts specify jitter differently.

Could you let us know if you have any concerns with this switch?

New oscillator they are considering:

Per our PLL expert, the PLL will filter high frequency jitter. Frequency jitter below the bandwidth of the PLL will just pass through. Fine in both cases.
