TMS320F280023: Debugging: Flash sector allocation issue

When debugging the device in Code Composer Studio, I cannot get the device to flash past sector 7 (0x.

I have updated the .cml file to include sector 8 - see Image 1 attached

When editing the debug configuration settings, only 8 sectors, which is half of the flash memory, is shown. This makes me think that the debugger is not aware of the rest of the flash. See Image 2 attached.

Any suggestions on how I can remedy this would be appreciated.

This is a HW limitation of the F280023 device.

The F280023 device only has 8 sectors of flash on the device(64KB total). Only the superset device of this family, F280025 has the full 16 sectors available(128KB total).

If you need the full 128KB of flash, then you will need to replace your F280023 device with a F280025. These are pin/pin compatible, so it should be a matter of replacing the device and you will be good to go debug/program wise.

Rookie error on my side. I keep forgetting that the micro is not 8bit addressable.
