Legacy CCS3.1 Projects on C2406 in CCS4

Hello!

We're starting some new projects on C28xx processors and just bought a license for the CCS4.
Previously we used the CCS3.1 on C2404 processors and still need to support those.

Now it would be nice to just use one IDE to cover all needs. And before I dig into it I wanted to ask if it's generally possible to work on those old ICs in the new CCS4.
And what are the catches, where do I have to be careful? At a first glimpse I could not find a target definition of the C24xx. Is that solvable?

Thanks a lot for all your answers!!

Regards

Sebastian

  • Sebastian,

Sadly, our legacy devices are only supported in CCSv3.  You might be able to hack something together to get CCSv4 to compile code for them, but CCSv4 lacks drivers for these older parts so debugging and flash programming would be out of the question.  If you want to take a stab at it, be my guest, but we cannot provide support for this endevor.
