I forgot to follow up and get an answer to the question about what the maximum current output for the ePWM of the TMS320F2800156-Q1 is?

Is it the same as the DAC output current capability of the TMS320F2800157-Q1?

Chris,

The digital output pin max current is 20mA as per Absolute Maximum Ratings of the device. Max ratings usually wouldn't change for same device (in your case TMS320F280015x).

Anyway to find out for sure if the Max ratings change for the 157 digital output vs 156 PWM output?

Chris,

As I mentioned before there should be any difference in the same family all part numbers of same family(TMS320F280015x) have same absolute maximum ratings as characterized in the table above if there was any difference it would be documented otherwise.

Let me know what specific application is this needed for my better understanding of the problem, if there is any query or concern.

"should" means that you are not sure.

I would like to know with certainty, but if this is not something TI can confidently provide please let me know.

There is no difference in output current for 157 v/s 156.
