TMS320F28377D: Load program error

Hi Champ,

I am asking for my customer.

They have used F28377D for many years in MP products.

Recently, they have found out few devices have seen some error with programming shown as below, while the device could be connected with JTAG (JTAG design follows the DS, uses for many years w/o problem).

Besides, customer does the A-B-A swap, then the error follows the devices.

Any thought on the error, and any troubleshoot could list down here to find the root cause ?

I want to make sure I understand the situation. The customer is able to connect to the device, but they see the above error when they actually try to program the device?

Hi Ben,

Correct, able to connect to the device, and fail to program the device.

I just got the XDS200 JTAG connection from customer today, it seems like there are some errors with the connection.

Correct connection should be TMS, TDI, TCK directly connect to the device w/o pullup, pull-low. Any missing for the JTAG design ?

Johnny,

If they are able to connect to the device, then the layout of their JTAG signals is probably ok. The pullups on the JTAG signals are ok.

Could the customer try looking at their XRSn and VDD signals with an oscilloscope while trying to flash? I would be curious if there is somehow a brief voltage drop that could be causing this error.

Also, have they always used the XDS200?
