Other Parts Discussed in Thread: C2000WARE
Hi,
I'm currently having issues with the CMPSS module. I'm trying to apply it as a current limiting feature to my ePWM but it has an unusual periodic pulse that I can't seem to figure out why its occurring. This pulse occurs around the 50% Duty cycle mark of my ePWM Waveform which affects my current limiting configuration. The frequency of the pulse is the same as the time base of my ePWM. I have determined that it is being produced by the Ramp Generator as this doesn't occur when setting the DAC Value Source to 'Update from shadow register'. See the below wave form. C4 2A+ (DAC Value Source - RAMP) , C5 2B+ (DAC Value Source - SHADOW).
The CMPSS needs to use the Ramp Generator due to the specification of the product I'm designing. Can anyone offer any suggestions on how to fix this issue? Below is the current configuration of the CMPSS in SYSCFG. its worth noting that the value for the Max Ramp Generator Reference Value changes during operation. Under standard operation this value is 14500. It is just set to 0 on power up.
Thanks in advance,
Kind Regards,
Mike
