i have a f28388sptps microcontroller. i trying to run a motor control code. i can load and debug the code on code composer studio but the functions of microcontroller doesn't work. for example, adc couldn't read any data and all parameters shown as zero. simple for loops in the code works well but peripherals doesn't work. what could be the reason of this?
The schematic for external clock is like this. It is connected to the X1 and X2 pins of the mcu. The code is the example timer_ex1_cputimers from the C200Ware f2838x folder. I'm using default settings.
I don't see an issue with the external clock with the 20MHz crystal and cap connections above. The clock setup on the examples is assuming that hardware used is control card with clock source of 25MHz. You would have to change this in device.h or you can just add the definition USE_20MHZ_XTAL in the Predefined Symbols under project properties in CCS.
Doing this would ensure that SYSCLK would be derived from the 20MHz crystal that you have on your board.
