TMS320F28035: TMS320 libraires to communicate with MFi through I2C

Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Stefano Tomamichel and I'm a development engineer at Bienair SA, Biel CH. We are producing electro-mechanical medical devices.

Right now we are developing a new device that has to communicate with an iPad through USB-C. To establish the communication and to recharge the iPad we need a communication through I2C between the microcontroller and the MFi (Apple IC to authenticate our product).

Are there libraries available for the TMS320 or MSP430 platform to communicate with the MFi? Have you other solutions to propose?

    We have driver libraries and examples for the I2C protocol on our devices provided in C2000Ware. For this device it looks like we only have one example here: C2000Ware_5_00_00_00\device_support\f2803x\examples\c28\i2c_eeprom. I'm not aware of any examples provided for communicating with MFi, even on other devices we have available.

    Out of curiosity, if you're developing a new device what is the reason you're using such an old processor? The F2803x was released sometime in 2009, there are better and more efficient devices we have developed since then which are better supported through examples and even through UI tools we have developed since this device's original release.
