TMS320F2800157: accurate way to analyze memory consumption

Hello,

To measure consumption of RAM and ROM, one way to check is memory allocation tool provided by CCS. Also we can check consumption by looking into map file.

while going through these both ways, I am getting little deviation for ROM consumption value and major deviation for RAM consumption value. (not getting same percentage consumption by both ways)

Which is the more accurate way to analyze memory computation?

Hi,

Both method should provide same info. Can you share the detail of "deviation" in both cases ? BWT, ROM is used by TI provided SW only so not sure what are you using that information for.

How I can relate both the data,
(As per my understanding (code + ro data) corresponding to FLASH and rw data corresponding to RAMLS0_1, let me know If I am missing some point.)

Number shown in CSS memory allocation is in decimal where as one shown in map file is in hex.
