TMS320F28379D-Q1: Evaluationboard Vs Launchpad

The LaunchPAD is for an easy out-of-the-box experience to quickly test out and run a program using the device and is mainly intended for users to test out the features of a device.

I'm not sure what you mean by evaluation board, I looked on the product page and all I could find with this label was the Vienna Rectifier evaluation module. This is intended to provide a design that illustrates how to control the power stage using C2000 MCUs. If you don't intend to use a Vienna Rectifier in your system, then this may not be useful to you.

One option also is the ControlCARD. This provides a way of docking the device and expanding the pin options that are usable as opposed to a LaunchPAD which may not have the desired pins broken out onto the PCB.

If you're looking to get a quick and simple experience using the F2837xD device you can use the LaunchPAD, but if you intend to try and maximize your testing of the device in your system and get an accurate idea of how configurable the device is, you can use the ControlCARD. Dose this mean evaluation boards & development kits aid in trying out the device for specific applications.

where as launchpad is basic testing kit for device features.

if possible, suggest a suitable kit for PMSM motor control unit.
