hi,

Had recently purchased the TMS320F28P65X control card.

Since the board has no can transceiver on it, trying to use TCAN1462EVM.

if I get the TCAN1462EVM, can I interface it with the control card.

Hello Vivek,

This should be possible. You will need to use a https://www.ti.com/tool/TMDSHSECDOCK with the controlCARD to interface to the CAN EVM. Please note that the C2000 MCU is a 3.3V I/O device.

As Gus correctly pointed out, ours is a 3.3v I/O device. Any signal you feed into any of the GPIO pins cannot exceed 3.3v for logic high. Please ensure you choose the 3.3v I/O option for TCAN1462 and make sure the grounds of both boards are connected together. Wiring diagram between MCU and transceiver is available in www.ti.com/lit/SPRACU9.
