TMS320F280049C: Dual bldc control

Part Number: TMS320F280049C
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F28069, MOTORWARE, C2000WARE

Hi there,

I am an existing c2000 user and have an existing dual bldc setup working on the TMS320F28069. I would like to migrate over to the F28004x series which as I understand can also do dual BLDC control.

It appears Motorware is no longer being updated and does not support the newer F28004x series. I have been reading through the documentation for the C2000Ware MotorControl SDK (including "Motor Control SDK Universal Project and Lab") and cannot find a reference to any example for doing dual motor control.

Please let me know where I can find an example LAB or firmware base to get started with a dual BLDC design. (In motorware this used to be FOC LAB 11d)

Thanks in advance,

  • Yes. You have to refer to the InstaSPIN lab example for F28004x in motor control SDK and change the example code for supporting dual motor.

You can find "is11_dual_motor – Dual Motor Sensorless Velocity Control" in MCSDK as a reference.
