TMS320F28377S: how to achieve PendSV when using FreeRTOS

Hi Team,

My customer is using FreeRTOS in this device. They want to know how to achieve PendSV like ARM device in the C28 port. Does FreeRTOS demo or source code in C2000ware achieve this? If so, could you please point it and explain how it works? If not, could you provide some advice?

Do you mean a portYield? This function is implemented in C28x by SW triggering the interrupt channel

Hi Venna,

PendSV is used for switch content when task switch. I don't familiar with ARM and FreeRTOS. According to the material I searched, It is a interrupt that has the lowest priority. When use it to switch content during task switching, It can be interrupted by hardware interrupt to ensure that the more important task like control task can be responded in time. It has the dedicated register bit to control.

I don't find the related register and description in C28 device, so I asked a question here to see if you have any information for this.

PendSV is an ARM feature. If you are looking for a function to trigger a task switch, you can use the function portYield. portYield is implemented using the PendSV feature in ARM and it is implemented differently in C28x device
