TMS320F28377S: Question about VIO

Part Number: TMS320F28377S

Hi TI expert,

F28377's datasheet shows that VIL(Low-level input voltage)'s min value is Vss-0.3V. I connect Vss to GND. Does it mean that some of the F28377's GPIO commit the input is low level only when corresponding GPIO pin arrive -0.3V?

If I want to trigger external interrupt at falling edge, how much is the minimum voltage for the chip to recognize the falling edge? Is that also -0.3V?

Thanks!

Regards,

Fengyu

  • Fengyu,

This spec is saying that there are bands of low, undefined, and high levels:

Any voltage between Vss-0.3 to 0.8V will be registered as a "low-level" input.

Any voltage >0.8 to <VDDIO*.7 is undefined.

And any voltage from VDDIO*0.7 to VDDIO +0.3 will be registered as a "high-level" input.

    Regards,
    Cody
