TMS320F28335: FPU settings on code compose studio

Dear Experts,

I have been working on my customized F28335 board, and I developed an algorithm, which is up and working. The program uses iqmath library and I use IQNmp command to multiply the variables. My doubt is, how to ensure the program uses FPU of the microcontroller. Because, using the iqmath library for the multiplications doesnt allow the full potential of the micro-controller, if its not using FPU of F28335.

Are there any settings or anything else to enable FPU?

Rajesh, in IQMathLib.h, change MATH_TYPE from IQ_MATH to FLOAT_MATH. This will make the code run with floating-point operations instead of fixed-point operations, which will leverage the FPU.

If I hat used the IQMATH, I would have to do any settings on CCS? Also, Are there any settings that to done on CCS in addition to the iqmath.h edit that you suggested?

Rajesh, No there is no CCS dependency. CCS is just an IDE.
