LAUNCHXL-F2800137: Level 4: Motor overcurrent fault at high speed

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-F2800137

Hello TI experts,

I'm now working out level 4 of universal motor control project . I ran motor ID and copied parameters to user_mtr1.h file. I have attached user_mtr1.h file.

Motor runs fine until commanded frequency of ~830 Hz. Motor current consumption is steady at ~700 mA when speed is set to 830 Hz.

Beyond which it starts consuming high current and goes in over current fault mode. Over-current fault level is set at 10 A. Power supply show current of about 1.3 A when motor shows fault at ~850 Hz.

I have evaluated Instaspin on F28069M kit before and did not see any such issue.

Could you please advise possible cause for this?

Motor is rated for 15000 RPM, 7 pole pair, 1750 Hz.

Regards,

Rahul.
