SDFlash utility programs F2812, but same setup does not work with F28023

Hello:

We have been using the Spectrum Digital XDS510USB emulator and SDFlash utility to program the TI F2808 MCUs in production.

We now have a new product based upon the F28023 and the same setup does not program the devices with the .out file generated by CCS4.

Do you know if there is an update available or procedure to use this same setup to program their product with the F28023?

Thanks again!

Paul

  • Paul,

You should be able to program .out files compiled by CCS3.3v (or) CCS4.0 using SDFlash. Are you trying to use F2808 SDFlash utility to program F28023 devices? If so, it will not work.

Reason: F2808 SDFlash utility works on F2808 flash api (flash device driver) software. It doesn't support F28023 flash api.

Please download F2802x SDFlash JTAG algos(Uses TI F2802x Flash API 1.0) tool from http://emulators.spectrumdigital.com/utilities/sdflash/ to use SDFlash to program F28023 devices.

    Hope this helps.

     Regards,

    Manoj
