LAUNCHXL-F280025C: Launch Pad Debugger not working.

Part Number: LAUNCHXL-F280025C

Hello TI Community,

I am working with F280025C controller launch pad, with the mentioned launch pad, I tried debugging my control card with same microcontroller using the J101 port. I made the connections as per the datasheet. I was able to debug and launch code on my control card.

After aborting the code and debugging my launch pad again I am not able to detect my launch pad, getting the error as attached. Also, blue LED on development board is not responding.

Please suggest the recommended actions to get the board live again.

Thanks and Regards

  • Hi,

If you had board working and then stopped working then I suspect something has caused some hardware issue. We'll have our lanchpad expert look into this next week and get back to you.

  • Hi Omprasad,

We have designed the J102 header to be the connections which are used to debug external boards, and J101 would be disconnected in that case. Nonetheless, the configuration you had should work fine. If you mention that the Blue LED is no longer illuminated, then that tells me that, for whatever reason, the onboard MSP432 device is no longer flashed with the XDS110 firmware. You will need to reflash the XDS110 device to have it work as a debugger again.

To program the XDS110, connect the Launchpad to your computer and run the xdsdfu.exe file located in the ccs\ccs_base\common\uscif\xds110 folder in your CCS application install folder (should be located in your C:/ti drive if you have it at the default location). Please let me know if you run into any difficulties

    Regards,

    Peter
