LAUNCHXL-F28379D: Quadrature Decoder Unit - Flags QAP and QBP to negate encoder signals

Hello experts,

with the two flags QAP and QBP of QDECCTL, the two encoder signals A and B can be negated. I am curious and want to know where these features can be used in a meaningful way. I've never needed anything like this and I'm not sure where to use it.
