LAUNCHXL-F280025C: Urgent : CAN example of drivelib not working

Hi,

I am trying to use CAN module available on LaunchXL-F280025C for the reason to verify it I have used another development board and used it as a receiver.

when I am trying to keep breakpoint in the CAN ISR interrupt for successful can transmission I am unable to get into interrupt.

I have used same example in other board with #define TRASMIT commented to make that board as receiver also I have made S4 to dotted(down) position to make use of Can Transceiver IC as suggested in datasheet of board.

If there is any guidance or setting procedure suggested by TI to be done for CAN protocol working please suggest.

also help with this through this chat as it urgent for our development purpose.

Please take a look at this application note, which has various debugging strategies that have been compiled by my colleague.

Could you also share the details for all the connections that you have made to enable the CAN communication between the Launchpads.

I am using the same application note.

for example 1 of loopback I am getting the result but for ex5 of transmit can see any signals on transmit but not on CANH and CANL for both settings on Board for S4 switch

Siddhant,

There are two things that you should check for:

(1) Make sure that the macro "_LAUNCHXL_F280025C" has been defined for the compiler (Go to Project -> Properties -> Build -> C2000 Compiler -> Predefined Symbols) to ensure correct GPIO Configuration.

(2) Make sure that the connections are proper as the transmission is not successful without a receiver that can send an ACK message.

Hi Sahil,

will try this,

just one clarity on S3 gpio pin 32, does position of this pin matter for successful CAN transmission as it is pulled up by 10K ohm resistance currently
