TMS320F2800135: CAN bus error while using XDS110 Debug Probe

Hi,

I'm currently using the TMS320F2800135 for a project where the CAN bus is used. When debugging the code with the XDS110 Debug Probe I get parity error on the bus. I'm using BUSMASTER for reading and transmitting.

We have two projects ongoing with TMS320F2800135, where this is an issue with both projects. We have checked for noise, tried with both isolated CAN driver and not.

What is the connection between this error and XDS110 debug probe ?

Hi Vivek,

If I disconnect the debug probe and run the software withouth "stepping through" the CAN bus works perfectly. If it's connected, I don't get a single message through.

It look like noise issue on the board which is impacting CAN bus with JTAG connected. I know you mentioned that you have checked for the noise and also isolation but look like it's not working. I would suggest to review the schematic again.
