TMS320LF2407A: Recommendation for new designs and EOL date.

Part Number: TMS320LF2407A

Hi,

I could not find exact part number for the IC that I have at hand. The full part number that we have is TMS320LF2407APGCA. But the last digits does not match . Can you help us identify if this is still a good part and recommended for new designs? Can we know EOL date for this part?

You can find the part number nomenclature in the datasheet. That "CA" is part of the LOT trace code, not the part number.

I wouldn't recommend this part for new designs. The entire toolchain for this part is now obsolete. You will find it extremely difficult to procure the debug probes needed. Also, CCSv3.3, which is the version you need for this device, is not free.
