TMS320F2800137: Required to pull low GPIO24 for the first-time programming

Hi Wayne,

Configuring the boot pins for flash-boot will cause the CPU to start fetching the invalid opcodes (erased is all 0xFFFF) after BootROM execution.  Hence, ITRAP/reset will occur - this can lead to issues that you mentioned.

F280025x - maybe the boot time is a little longer (my guess) and is helping to push out the CPU fetch from flash.

Instead of giving the flash program command after the connect, can they issue a reset and then try the flash command?

Because this in in the production line and they can only use Uniflash+XDS110 with as simple operations as possible, would you please explicitly show us the procedures how to issue a reset and then run the flash command?

I read the above, but it's hard to run DSS in the production line.

My questions:

1) Most of my customers use flash boot as default boot and they have successfully programmed millions of C2000 devices including F2837x/F28004x/F28003x with Uniflash without issue reported like this. How do we explain that? The boot ROM time is always longer than XDS110 connection time so that the device is always connected by XDS110 before ITRAP is fetched?

Does that mean there can be any reset after XDS110 connection to bring the device out of hanging in the ITRAP?

3) We notice there is new function in Uniflash 8.5 below for CPU reset. Can this be used as the reset you said above?
