TMS320F28388D: Can the C28x CAN module communicate using the J1939 protocol?

I would like to use the C28x CAN module on the TMS320F2838x board to communicate using the J1939 protocol.
I have confirmed the data sheet below.

The MCAN module, which is a peripheral of Connectivity Manager, has a description of J1939 support.
The C28x CAN module does not mention J1939 support.
Is it not possible to communicate using the J1939 protocol with the C28x CAN module?

J1939 is a higher-layer-protocol that runs on the CAN physical layer. Regardless of which CPU you access the MCAN module, you will be able to run the J1939 stack. Note, however, that TI does not supply the stack. you need to work with a 3rd party like www.simmasoftware.com.

Thank you for answering.
I understand that the J1939 protocol can be used from the MCAN module regardless of the CPU.
Is it only the MCAN module that can use the J1939 protocol? Can it be used with a CAN module?

J1939 can be run on both DCAN and MCAN.
