TMS320F28388D: Secure Boot Feature

Part Number: TMS320F28388D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: C2000WARE

Hi,

It is said that "The secure boot feature is applicable only on Zone1 and hence the chosen flash sector(s) have to be configured as Zone1-EXEONLY." in the "Secure BOOT on C2000 Device" Application Report Table 4-1

I did not understand relation between "Secure Boot" and configuring "ZONE1-EXEONLY" .

For example my application resides in sector 0. Application size only 13KB.

If I want to use "Secure Flash Boot" mode, am I have to configure flash sector 0 as EXEONLY ?

Thanks.

  • Could you please help me on this issue?

  • for "boot_ex1_cpu1_cpu2_cm_secure_flash_cpu1"  example in C2000Ware.
We have to set flash Sector 0 and flash Sector 1 EXEONLY.
After this settings, the "boot_ex1_cpu1_cpu2_cm_secure_flash_cpu1" example boot successfully from secure flash .

If you want to use "Secure Flash Boot" mode, you have to configure flash sectors as EXEONLY.

    Update:
26 days after, i realized that EXEONLY not must. Declaration of Sector 0 and Sector 1 secure is enough for secure flash boot..
