TMS320F2808: How to configure the C28x hex utility to generate a binary file that UniFlash will accept

I would like to use UniFlash to program .bin files to my F2808, but I seem unable. I can program .out files without problem. Here are my hex settings in Code Composer: --diag_wrap=off --boot --gpio8 --binary. I am interested to learn whether these setting should work.
