TMS320F2800132: simpliest possible power tree (VDD, VDDA, VDDIO)?

Part Number: TMS320F2800132

Team,

I am trying to identified the simpliest, cheapest (and small) power tree for the F2800132.

Looking at the Device information Table page 3 it seems that only the Internal regulator can be used for 1V2 VDD rail.
Can you please confirm?

But looking at the control card schematics it seems that the 1V2 rail coming from the docking station the is still routed to the 1V2 rail of the MCU.
Or am I misunderstanding?

Thanks in advance,

A.

  • Hi,

Your assumptions are correct. From looking at the control card docking station schematic, it doesn't look like the 1.2 V signal is actually connected to anything. I believe it is brought out only for probing/monitoring purposes.
