TMS320F280049C: Pin configuration on ROM code after Reset

We are working on a DCDC cnverter using TMS320F280049C and we are observing a weird behavior after performing a Watchdog Reset.

We are using some GPIO pins configured as PWM, and after the reset we observe a large pulses during 10uSeconds and then some extra pulses, before DSP restart again...

May be this behavior is due some pins are reinitialized on ROM code before starting our APP

Can you explain the behavior of pins GPIO0, GPIO1, GPIO2, GPIO3,GPIO24, GPIO28, GPIO29, GPIO32 if they are activated as PWM outputs, and we have a WatchdogReset? How is managing ROM Code this pins?

Hello Nada, Francesc,

Table 6-1 of the datasheet shows that e.g., GPIO0 is in the multiplexer position 0 by default, so it drives the GPIO0 to the output after a reset initialization, not ePWM1_A that corresponds to mux position 1. You also have optional pull-ups on these I/Os that are disabled by default and that your application may have enabled. These are considerations to look at for the watchdog reset behavior.

The source code of the ROM is available in C2000Ware. Please see under libraries\boot_rom\f28004x\revB.
