TMS320F28377D-EP: CLA Division Operator "/" vs CLAdiv function

Part Number: TMS320F28377D-EP

Hello,

Does the CLA support the C division operator " / " or do we absolutely need to use CLAdiv?

Software compiles using "/" but I am not sure it is working properly.

Which ones is the best performance wise?

Thank you

Laurent

  • Laurent, I don't see why it won't work. I looked at the CLA Compiler section of the compiler user guide spru514 and didn't see any mention of this.

cladiv benchmarks are present in the clamath user guide.  I don't have numbers for / on CLA. However, it seems like the compiler generates code that makes it almost identical to cladiv in performance. So either one should be good.

    Thanks,

    Sira
