LAUNCHXL-F28379D: Dual CPU Led example can't boot from flash after reset

Dear expert,

I am using example for led_ex2_sysconfig_cpu1 & led_ex2_sysconfig_cpu2 on LP-F28379D.

I did set active on flash, but after I press reset button S3 on the board. I can't boot from flash.

Is there anything do to boot from flash? What would you advice to do?

Are you able to boot from Flash normally for CPU1? Please take a look at these posts for helpful suggestions:

Dear Hareesh,

What I can see in the example is that after I press reset.

I can see both of the LED turn on and it stays stable.

I think both of the CPU can't boot well.

But I didn't modify anything, can you try it on your side for this example?

Hareesh,

Those documents looks like it is for ex1 not for sysCFG.

I didn't figure out which part should I do in this example.

I am sorry I have been unable to allocate time for this experiment. I am on timebank today. I will work on this when I am back in the office next week.

Below is the procedure:

Running code from RAM:

Connect to both CPUs
Click on CPU1 first

Load RAM-based code in CPU1
Click on CPU2 next

Load RAM-based code in CPU2

Click on CPU1 and click the green “Play” button. Code from CPU1 will now run.
Click on CPU2 and click the green “Play” button. Code from CPU2 will now run.

Running code from Flash:

For CPU1, choose CPU1_FLASH_STANDALONE as the build configuration. Compile the project.

For CPU2, choose CPU2_FLASH as the build configuration. Compile the project.

While programming the respective CPU’s Flash, it is very important to click on that CPU in the debug window before programming, but the exact order in which the Flash is programmed (between the CPUs) is not important. After programming both CPUs’ Flash, you need to reset the CPU and then click the play button. After this, if you just apply power to the LP, the project should work.
