Hi Team,

There's an issue from the customer need your help:

I would like to ask 280025C for advice on developing a server power supply. The current situation is that AC power supply alone is no problem, and the output is normal when working in PFC mode. However, when using DC power supply, the working output is DC power supply, and BOOST is not implemented.

I would like to ask:

1 The server power supply must be compatible with both AC and DC input power supplies, and must respond quickly when switching power supplies. How to achieve this?

 2. Are there any relevant reference materials that show cases where the server power supply is compatible with both AC and DC power supplies?

    With AC input it works as a PFC input stage. It boosts the input volt to generate a higher DC bus volt and shapes the input current. This is average current mode control (ACMC) AC/DC boost.

    But for DC input, it will be the same except that the input current control might be dropped and it works just like a volt mode control DC/DC boost. You can also maintain ACMC dc/dc boost with the only difference is that the input current is a DC current and not a sinusoidal current.

    I am not aware of any such ref material. Pls review C2000 DP SDK ref designs. There are multiple PFC designs. One of them might have this option for AC input or DC input
