Hello all,

We are looking to use TMS320F28P650DK for our new designs, however updating firmware through USB is crucial for our applications, thus the USB boot loader is necessary, I saw that it's available on F28P650 devices, however, to understand how one can use it I need to know:

  1. Once we put the device in USB boot mode, and the USB enumerates as a bootloader, how can we send the .out or .hex file to the DSP, is there any software available for it?
  2. What are the ways to protect the firmware? is there any way to put Passwords or other types of protections?

    Any update for us on this?

    basically, we need to know how one should update the firmware on F28p650 in the field using USB. I saw there are options like LFU and so on, but still, we can't understand the easiest way to do that ...
