Hello,

For F280015x_32RHB, in syscfg tool, I2CB_SDA can be assigned to Pin 13 (A9/C8/GPIO227).

But in the Datasheet, I2CB_SDA is an option for Pin 13.

Which one is correct?

This is an AGPIO! You have to look at the specific GPIOxxx entry in the pinout table.

Ok. If the GPIO entry says that it is I2C_SCL, and syscfg tool says that it can be I2C_SDA, the correct one will be I2C_SCL and we can't use what syscfg tool selects, right?

Hi Crane,

You can select either I2CB_SDA or I2CB_SCL on this pin. Since two AGPIOs share the same pin in this case, depending on which I2C signal occupies the pin, the AGPIO that does not contain that I2C signal will be configured in analog mode, so that two GPIOs are not driving the same pin.

Ok. Then what do you mean "two AGPIOs share the same pin in this case"? How do you find this information, from syscfg tool where both A10/C10 and C8/A9 show up in this pin?

Hi Crane,

I deduced this from hovering over the pin in SysConfig, you can see that the GPIO mux options include those for both GPIO227 and GPIO230.

Ok it means both GPIO227 and GPIO230 can be either I2C_SCL or I2C_SDA, right?

Yes, GPIO227 can be I2CB_SCL, GPIO230 can be I2CB_SDA:

Ok, and GPIO227 and GPIO230 share pin 13. This is why pin 13 can be assigned either I2C_SDA or I2C_SCL.
