TMS320F280049C: Ac waveform distorted after increasing load

Part Number: TMS320F280049C
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMDSCNCD280049C

Hi TI Community,

We have developed a single phase DC TO AC inverter Upto 3 Kw load, using c2000 ware so our AC waveform is coming fine Upto 1 Kw, but after 1.5 kw our ac waveform is distorting and load is not withdrawing the current also for example Upto 1 kw load is taking 3-4 Amp current but beyond 1 kw we are getting following symptoms:

1.AC waveform is clamping

2.Ac output voltage is increasing on DSO(Going further more than set reference voltage)

3.Current is not withdrawing by load.

Our input DC supply is 420 volts and referenced AC output voltage is 230 volts and we are using TMDSCNCD280049C control card reference design and we have implemented close loop design.

Looking forward for any inputs.

Thanks and regards

  • Hello Vishal

The issue may be related to your hardware or the control method you have implemented. Unless I know it is an issue with the control card, I am not sure how can I help on this.

Can verify that reading of the current and voltage in the expression window match with actual value. Also, you check the pwm waveform if those are same as desired.

    Thanks
