GPIO226 and GPIO228 are both mapped on pin 4 (48pin package). How do I multiplex them?

Could you explain what the context is for GPIO multiplexing? Are there two separate functions (GPIO signals) you are trying to use this pin for?

customer has concerns if it is possible to set the GPIO226 to low and GPIO228 to high at the same time.

Is the customer planning on using both GPIOs as outputs or open drain? There could be some concerns depending on the usage, so I've reached out to design about this to discern the intention behind connecting both GPIOs to that pin.

no, but just in case the do it by accident. That shouldn't be possible technical. Or some case of warning should be placed in the datasheet.

I double checked and this is actually a common feature of our newer devices - both GPIOs are AGPIOs and they are double bonded. There is built in protection to the devices for these cases- i.e. if there is an attempt to use both as outputs, essentially, one GPIO would take over as it is given high priority than the other (a double bond priority scheme). So you don't have to worry about this.
We are already in the process of updating the datasheets to include a note about this for packages that have it to explain- it just hasn't fanned out to the web yet
