TMS320F28388D: CCS Theia connectivity manager support

Part Number: TMS320F28388D

Hello,

When I try to create an example project using a Connectify Manager (CM) I get the following message.

Error: No TI Arm compilers, supporting device 'TMS320F28388D [Cortex M]', are currently installed

It is installed and I manually installed another version but it does not work.

Is this supported yet by Theia?

I am using the latest version 1.3.1 (13 Feb 2024) on MacOS

Hi Marcel,

Spoke with a CCS Theia expert, here are the following steps you can do.

Download the TI proprietary ARM compiler from the below link:

https://www.ti.com/tool/download/ARM-CGT

I would recommend installing it somewhere inside the main TI folder (ex. C:\ti)

Then in CCS Theia, for to “File -> Preferences -> Code Composer Studio Settings” to open the settings dialog.

In the dialog, go to “General -> Compilers” and press the refresh button to discover the compiler. If discovered, it should appear in the list of Discovered compilers. If it is not discovered, check to see if the root path to it is part of the compiler discovery path.

Hi Ryan,

The installer of Theia install the clang/llvm version of the ARM compiler which is not detected. Installing the one you mentioned in your answer did the trick. So may be it is better to install the 'old' ARM compiler with Theia in stead off the llvm version.
