C2000 Resonant DC/DC Developer's Kit

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE

Hi all,

I have a question regarding the C2000 Resonant DC/DC Developer's Kit (part number: TMDSRESDCKIT).   On the webpage (www.ti.com/tool/tmdsresdckit), it says that one of the features of this developer kit is that it supports "four different feedback methods for experimentation".  However, I could not find anywhere on the page or the documentation which exact types of feedback system is used by this kit.

Does anybody have any experience with this kit?  I am also wondering what it means by "open source software with full documentation"?  Does that mean the kit includes all of the source code for implementing all the digital controls?  Can we edit/alter this code for our own tests?

thanks for your help.

  • John,

    Take a look at:
    http://www.ti.com/c2000tools

You will note that the kit you mentioned, as well as a higher voltage resonant converter board are available.

All software and hardware information (schematics, etc) can be found within controlSUITE (which is linked to on the page above).  All of this is free for use and may be edited freely.

I'm not too clear on what sensing methods were put on the board you specifically mentioned, but I'd take a look at the schematics within controlSUITE and you should be able to figure it out.  If not, just let us know.

    Thank you,
    Brett
