Hello,

I want to use SysConfig to configure the I2C pheripheral. Normally, a I2C module has Open Drain Outputs/Floating Inputs.

When using SysConfig, there are pinmux qualification fields for SDA and SDL.

But the Open Drain and inverted pad are not allowed:

Does that mean that I need any transceiver ? Or is an open drain transistor automatically inserted between the digital output and the physical pad ?

Hello Vincent,

This error is a bug which has already been fixed, if it's not available on the most recent release of C2000Ware it should be available in the next.

Hello Omer,

By release of c2000Ware, do you really mean C2000Ware or SysConfig. Now I am working with:

It seems to be the most recent versions of these tools. When newer versions will be available, will CCS automatically propose an update ? If not, how shall I do ?

Hello Vincent,

No, I mean C2000Ware. SysConfig is just a tool, to generate the list of modules and their configurations it pulls from the source files included within C2000Ware.

I double-checked the issue filed, it will be fixed in C2000Ware 5.02. As far as workarounds, you can manually configure the GPIO pin config after calling the board init function to just overwrite that one setting.

Just for my understanding: how does SysConfig know that there is a problem with C2000Ware ? Because the Error Message comes from SysConfig, not durinf the compilation:

Hello Vincent,

It doesn't know that there's a problem with C2000Ware, it's only detecting an error based on your selected configurations. There are source files which do error checking, provide the module details, etc.

OK, When C2000Ware v5.02 will be installed, SysConfig will see that the other options will be available, right ?

(by the way, of course there are bugs on SysConfig, but I think this is a great tool. Congratulations)
