We are currently managing a network of multiple dual active bridge (DAB) converters operating in parallel, all controlled by TI control cards (TMS320F2838x). The load has rapid dynamics which needs very fast coordination to synchronize their operation using communication protocols.

Well using that device you have the option of EtherCAT. This is a high bandwidth lower latency link with automatic timestamping which would be beneficial for your application.

PM bus has been used in applications with similar requirements as yours.

FSI is a TI proprietary interface with 200MBPS, hardware-based CRC, signal skew compenstation. It is a 2 or 3 wire interface that allows very low latency. We have actually utilized it in a distributed control loop for multi-axis motor control applications. https://www.ti.com/tool/TIDM-02006

Thank you for the reply. For the EtherCAT, we need the EtherCAT slave control software. Is there any other software apart from EtherCAT slave?

I believe that an etherCAT slave-only network is possible, though i do not know the implementation level details. Typically a master is used, this device only supports the ESC.

If you are considering EtherCAT this device does also support Ethernet.
