TMS320F28379D: CAN transceiver module suitable for TMS320F28379D Evaluation Module

Part Number: TMS320F28379D

Hello TI team,

I am working with TMS320F28379D Evaluation Module, which features two Controller Area Network (CAN) modules. I would like to know whether TI is providing any free sample of CAN transceiver module that is suitable for above said evaluation module, can you share the specification if the transceiver is available.

    Vignesh,

                  There is no “Evaluation Module” for this device. We only have the ControlCard or the LaunchPad. The latter already has a transceiver in the board. You need a transceiver for the former. While you may be able to sample transceiver ICs for free, the boards are not free. I searched for “CAN transceiver module” in Amazon India website and saw modules being sold for < Rs.150, so that may be an option for you.
