TMS320F280049C: Is XDS100 still recommended to use?

Part Number: TMS320F280049C

Hi team,

My customers see that we recommend XDS200 for TMS320F280049C, but they already have XDS100 on hand.

Id XDS100 still recommended to use?

I'm asking this because I saw below thread.

https://e2e.ti.com/support/microcontrollers/c2000-microcontrollers-group/c2000/f/c2000-microcontrollers-forum/1333340/tms320f280049-connecting-xds100-during-program-execution

Thank you very much in advance.

  • Hi,

That is a niche feature that I could not get to work with XDS100v2.

The XDS100 is perfectly fine for flashing and debugging, it just has slower data throughput than XDS110 and XDS200. It also does not support features like cJTAG. If the customer does not need these additional features, it is fine.

    Best Regards,

    Ben Collier
