TMS320F28388D: ARM Project initialization details

Greetings,

I am switching our projects to the TI Clang compiler. When I switch the project properties to use it, the Properties dialog box shows a warning which says, “Selected device does not currently provide project initialization details for the TICLANG toolchain. The project may require further manual set up.”. What else do I need to do?

Hi Ed,

Many projects comes with additional files like assembly source and linker scripts. These files can vary depending on the compiler use. Your original project may have such files for the original compiler. Now that you are switching to a different compiler, you'll need to see if these files are still compatible. This is what the warning means.

Hi Ki,

I have discovered that we need to wait for a version of the Flash API which was compiled using the Clang compiler. So I have gone back to the TI ARM compiler for now. When the new library become available, I will be in a better position to resume this.
