TMS320F2800137: Issue in debug while enabling PFC

Part Number: TMS320F2800137

We're currently working with TI's TIDM-02010E3 board. However, when we attempt to enable PFC on this board by setting pfcVars.flagEnablePFC to 1 and pfcVars.dutyOut to 0.1 from the expression window, our debug connection breaks. As a result, we're unable to proceed with debugging. We are using LaunchXL to flash/debug.
The error message we encounter when trying to open PFC is as follows
Could you kindly suggest what might be causing this issue?
  • A JTAG disconnect occurring seems to indicate to me that the 3.3V power rail is fluctuating when you attempt to enable PFC. Check the stability of the power supply and the integrity of all supply connections.

Additionally, I highly recommend monitoring the 3.3V rail with an oscilloscope and recording the moment this happens.
