TMS320F280037: SCI-A boot mode configuration 2808 , 280037

Part Number: TMS320F280037

Hi all,

In a process of switching over to a new MCU from F2808 to F280037.

To boot from SCI-A on F2808( SPRU722C, page 24, table 6.), the external controller pulls GPIO34 LOW which enables this.
Now, looking into implementing the same thing on 280037..
SPRSP61C - page 213, Table 7-8. shows different options based on state of  GPIO24 and GPIO32. One of options is " SCI / Wait Boot(1) ".

It seems that configuration for 280037 ( or 28003x in general)  has more options, as described in table 7-9. (BOOTPIN-CONFIG), 7-10.( Standalone Boot Mode Select Pin Decoding), 7-11. and 7.12.

If I don't want any customization and just want to use it in the same way as previously, can I just follow table 7-8. and pull GPIO24 low to enter SCI-A boot?

Also, I am not sure what Wait Boot is and is it default disabled?

Thank you.
