As application note shows that suggest to program the security configuration as part of the code in .out file.

Question: Does it support to program the security configuration as part of the code in .hex file.

Due to we use hex file to do the OTA function.

Yes, you can include the security configuration in your code and generate the hex file when you compile. It can be used for OTA.

Are there extra special steps need to take to use .hex file which include the security configuration ?

I am taking the example from C2000Ware dcsm_security_tool.

I tried to config the dcsm_security_tool example to generate the hex file.

Then tried to flash the hex to CPU, but failed as below shows.

Hi W Z,

As per the console window error message, it looks as if the DCSM contents of your application file are trying to change an existing 0 to 1 in the failing DCSM OTP addresses. Maybe you are trying to program an already programmed location OR the tool is not considering the default existing value (non-all 1s).

Hi W Z,

The error message indicates that the DCSM zone is locked when trying to program the OTP. Can you share the values you are attempting to program in OTP? If you have programmed custom passwords, the DCSM zone will become locked after a reset, so you may need to disable "Reset target before flash programming operations" in the GUI.

Hi W Z,

As long as you have disabled the reset option you should be able to program your security configuration and application code simultaneously without extra steps. Let me know if you encounter any issues.

I successfully get the hex file with security config information now, after enable C2000 hex Utility.

I failed before, due to the User Zone had already changed, I need to change the linkpointer to change other user zone.
