TMS320F28026: Phase current oscillation

Part Number: TMS320F28026
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MOTORWARE

Tool/software:

Hello,
E:\ti\motorware\motorware_1_01_00_18\sw\solutions\instaspin_foc\boards\boostxldrv8305_revA\f28x\f2802xF\projects\ccs\proj_lab10a
When the motor is about to reach its maximum speed, the phase current suddenly decreases and then begins to oscillate,
This routine has enabled the over modulation function. Is it a sampling issue? Why is it a sudden oscillation, not a gradient, as shown in the following figure

  • Hi,

Can you the DC supply's voltage / current when this condition happens? Is current limit and voltage being used adequate?

What electrical frequency are you trying to achieve and what PWM frequency are you using? Are you using boostxldrv8305 hardware as well?

    Best,

    Kevin
