Help getting started with F28027 piccolo project

Hi Folks

Im having a hard time getting started, getting my head around what I need to modify and what can be left as is when modifying one of the F28027 PT projects to do what I want it to do...

Basically is it only the Example-Main.c and Example-DevInit_F2802x.c files that will need need modifying? i.e. these are the actual programme and evrything else is headers and helper files/scripts etc?

You're correct, you're on the right track! For starters, those are the two files you modify. Of course, you can add .h and .c files as necessary, as you can see in some of the application projects in controlSUITE.

Also, try, 2802x C/C++ Header Files and Peripheral Examples (http://www.ti.com/tool/sprc832)

The above link contains a number of simple example projects for each peripheral in F28027 device. This should be a great way to start which allows the user to master one peripheral at time.

I would also suggest you to get familiarize with Programming TMS320x28xx and 28xxx Peripherals in C/C++ (spraa85) document.

Both these links should get you started.
