TMS320F28388D: CCS Native vs Theia Compabilitiy

Part Number: TMS320F28388D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG, C2000WARE

Tool/software:

Hello,

I am developing a project with 28388D processor. Usually I am using native Code Composer Studio and mainly work with dual core and Sysconfig.

I have used TI`s examples and empty projects from Resource explorer and build application on top of that.

Recently we are in discussion to move CCS Theia from Native windows CCS. During this process we noticed some problems and don`t know if we are missing something or Theia is not quite there yet.

This is what we face  :

Import project from C2000Ware;

CCS Native, View > Resource explorer

C2000/Embedded Software / C2000(5.02.00.00)/English/Devices/F2838XD/F28388D/Examples/Driverlib/C28x_dual/empty_projects/empty_x28x_dual_sysconfig

Add 3 CPU Timers to Core 1

Add 3 CPU Timers to Core 2

Save & Compile the project ;

Project compiled and linked properly.

When we run CCS Theia and try to do the same ;

CCS Theia , View > Resource explorer

Add 3 CPU Timers to Core1

Try to add another 3 CpuTimers to Core2 -- Can not add since it thinks we used all the resources in the CPU2 !

I have also opened and checked if there is a problem when CMD and MEMCFG in the SYSCONFIG for CPU1 and CPU2 are added, still saw the same issue.

Waiting for your help/information about the subject..

Native CCS Version : 12.6.00008
